Sayler's Sip 'n See

My mother hosted a Sip 'n See for all of her friends in Dallas to finally meet Sayler.  She was so good the whole time and was the perfect little guest of honor.

Sayler's First Thanksgiving

We went to Tracy's parents' house in Jasper for Thanksgiving.  She finally got to meet Granny and Nevada.

Sayler's 2 Month Birthday

I can't believe it's already been 2 months!  We went to see Dr. Alley today and Sayler is 22 inches (40th percentile) and 11 pounds, 13 1/2 ounces (70th percentile).

She got her first round of shots today so we had a pajama day when we got home.

Sayler LOVES her swing

Sayler is a huge fan of her lamb swing.  She loves to play and sleep in it.  If we could only have one baby item, this would be it.

Happy Halloween

Sayler is 6 weeks so we went to a doctor's appointment for me and she got to wear her Halloween onesie with matching socks (thanks, Elbom).

We attempted to get a picture of Sayler with Big Brother Sam but he kept trying to jump off the couch.  Valentina got her this precious strawberry costume.

Sayler's all dressed up for our Halloween night dinner with Brian & Emily.  She slept through the whole dinner which was so nice.

 

Our good friends Jason and Danna welcomed twin girls on Halloween - Sydney and Casey. 

Play Time

Sayler is staying awake more and more.  We're enjoying playing with her and she's becoming more aware of her surroundings!

First "Real" Bath

Sayler doesn't mind bathtime now that they aren't sponge baths any more.  She actually likes the water and Tracy still does a better job than me.

After her bath....  These are my favorite pajamas - they have little cupcakes on them.

2 Weeks

We visited Dr. Filak for Sayler's 2 week check-up.  Sayler is 20 1/2 inches (75th percentile) and 7 pounds, 4 1/2 ounces (25th percentile). This was our first outing with Sayler and thank goodness my mother went with me because I could not have done it by myself.  Just trying to get her in and out of the car seat was hard enough.

First Bath

She was not a fan of bathtime.

First Day Home

Sayler slept the whole way home in the car!

Once we were home her lamb swing was her favorite sleeping spot.

We finally meet

I went to my 36 week appt. and my doctor said she didn't think the baby was coming any time soon but 36 hours later my water broke at 3am.  Sayler was born at 12:30pm on September 16, 2009.  She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.  We were relieved that even though she was 3 1/2 weeks early she was very strong and healthy.  We didn't find out the gender ahead of time so we were so excited to find out if we were having a boy and or a girl.

Work Baby Shower

My coworkers threw me a baby shower Labor Day Weekend.  Here's my big helper Anthony who assisted with the present opening.

An Aggie (Linda) got this for me as a joke - as if any child of mine would ever wear this.  I returned it for one with a Longhorn.

Baby Shower

My sweet friends from college hosted a baby shower for me at The Chocolate Bar.

Nichole lives in Austin and we hadn't seen each other since we really started to show!  Her baby boy is due in December.
