Thanksgiving 2012

Sayler & Tripp had a Thanksgiving feast at their school the Monday before Thanksgiving. Here are some pics from their teachers.

Thanksgiving Day with my family in Dallas

Gender Reveal Party

Everyone got to cast their vote!  We didn't get a picture of the final one with everyone's names, but here it is as the party was starting.  The only ones who thought it was a girl were me, Drewry & the kids!

Here's a video of the cake-cutting!  Tracy's reaction at the end is the best part.

We're having a GIRL!  We had a gender reveal party the day after Thanksgiving and luckily both families and dear friends from out of town were able to meet us in Dallas for the party.  Tracy was stunned it was a girl because he was sure it was another boy (he was wrong with Sayler & Tripp so he doesn't have the best record).

Now we are deciding on names and getting the nursery ready.  Tripp has no idea what is about to happen, but Sayler seems to understand as much as a 3-year-old can.  She keeps talking about her sister. So sweet!

Halloween 2012

Pebbles & Bam Bam hit the streets of Kerrville this Halloween.  Both had a great time and were so tired after trick-or-treating.  Sayler stayed up to hand out candy to our trick-or-treaters.  A few of the costumes were a little scary (Scream & the Grim Reaper) but she still had fun!

1st Day of School 2012

I'm a little late in posting first day of school pics, but here they are!  This is Sayler's third year of Mother's Day Out and Tripp's first year.  He cried the first 2 days I dropped him off but now he just waves goodbye to me at the door to his classroom.  They both have very sweet teachers and their classes are on the playground at the same time so they get to see each other while at school.

Rainy Day Trip to the Children's Museum

Last time we went to the Children's Museum Tripp wasn't quite walking so he spent a lot of time in the stroller, but this time he was able to run around with Sayler and had a great time.

Happy 3rd Birthday Sayler!

Today we celebrated Sayler's 3rd birthday!  I can't believe she is already three years old.  In some ways it seems like she was born yesterday, but a lot has happened in those 3 years.  She loves school (Mother's Day Out 2 days a week) and her tap class.  She's very social and has tons of energy.  We can't wait to see how much she changes throughout this next year!

Dancing Queen

Playing with scarves (Sayler is the one bending over in the light pink)

Sayler is still loving her tap class and I love watching her!  The girls are learning to dance but more importantly they are learning how to follow directions and take turns.  All of the girls in her class are very sweet and I've enjoyed meeting some of the other moms.  Tracy came to her class last week so he could see her.  They're all 2 years old, with some that have just turned 3, so it's a very cute age and with so many different personalities, there are always funny moments during the class.

San Antonio Children's Museum

Sayler & Jonas in the kid-size front end loader with Nichole & Penelope

Shopping

Sweet Tripp sometimes had to just stay in the stroller but he didn't seem to mind

We met Nichole, Jonas & Penelope at the Children's Museum in San Antonio.  We had never been (Nichole takes her kids all the time and suggested it).  Wow, this museum is great for toddlers.  It was super crowded since we went during the summer (we'll definitely go again in the fall).  There was so much for Jonas and Sayler to do.  There were also special areas just for Tripp and in a few months he'll be doing more of the "big kid" stuff.  With 4 kids between us, it must have been interesting to watch Nichole and me wrangle them through the museum, but the kids sure had fun.  Sweet Penelope slept in her carrier on Nichole most of the time which made things a little easier.

Happy 4th!

The Fredericksburg Texas Exes float!

Getting ready for the neighborhood parade

We had a great time celebrating July 4th in our new city.  Kerrville did their fireworks on Saturday night at one of the parks on the river and we were able to see some of them from our backyard.  The kids had already gone to bed but Sayler must have heard the fireworks because she got out of bed.  So we ended up letting her stand outside and watch them with us.  She loved telling us what color each one was.

On July 4th we went to a parade in Fredericksburg which was so much fun!  The kids loved watching everyone go by.  I love that we get to watch a small town parade every year.  After the parade, we went to the chili cook-off at Becker Winery and then headed home to let the kids get a nap in before our parade around the block.  Later that afternoon Sayler & Tripp joined some of the kids on our street for a parade around the block.  One of the dads drove behind with music playing.  It was pretty funny (and hot!).  We weren't going to go to Fredericksburg for their fireworks that night since the kids would be asleep and it's a 20 minute drive, but we decided that since Sayler loved the other fireworks so much, it would be worth it.  We went ahead and put the kids down at their normal bedtime and just put them in the car when it was time to leave.  Tripp only woke up the sit in my lap during the fireworks and slept the rest of the time.  I'm so glad we went because the kids had so much fun.
