Planting Flowers

Sayler loves helping Daddy plant flowers.  She wants to use all of the tools (even the big shovel which we had to keep her away from) and imitates everything he does.  She got so dirty we had to hose her off before taking her inside.

Easter 2011

Since Sayler had already had 2 egg hunts, the Easter Bunny brought her eggs with things other than candy.  She got cartoon bandaids and stickers.

Here she is with one of her stickers.

Sayler got lot of fun stuff from the Easter Bunny and the Smalls also got her an Easter basket with books and a stuffed bunny.

First time to try Peeps!

6 years ago on Easter Tracy proposed and now here we are with a precious little girl and another baby on the way!  Sayler's 2nd Easter was so much fun.  Last year she wasn't able to hunt for eggs but this year she was much more into it.  She didn't find all of her eggs because she found a potted plant with dirt that was much more exciting.  She made about 20 trips across the patio taking a handful of dirt from the pot to a saucer.

35 Weeks

Profile

Fist

35 Weeks

I had my last ultrasound today and the tech said the baby is about 5 pounds, 11 ounces (give or take a pound).  He/she should gain about 1/2 pound per week at this point.  Everything looked great and now we're just waiting for the big day!  Hopefully these last few weeks go by fast.

2nd Easter Egg Hunt for 2011

After she got the candy out she would just throw the egg back on the ground.

1st time in a bounce house!

As part of this year's fundraiser for Sayler's KDO I helped to host an egg hunt with 3 other moms in one of their fabulous backyards.  All of the kids that came had a great time and it was such a fun way to raise money for KDO and our church.

KDO Easter Egg Hunt

Sayler with Ms. Flor & Isabella

Sayler with Ms. Luda

Sayler's class at KDO had an Easter Egg Hunt in the courtyard of the church.  She usually doesn't go to KDO on Wednesdays but we stopped by just for the egg hunt.  This was her first time to hunt for eggs but she caught on very fast.

Crazy Monday Morning

Sayler was worn out from such a busy morning and took a nap on me while I was in Triage.

What started out as a typical Monday morning where I drop Sayler off at KDO, run some errands, sneak in a quick nap, and then pick her up in the afternoon turned into a crazy Monday.  We were rear-ended on 610 on our way to the church, but thankfully it wasn't a bad wreck.  An ambulance took Sayler and me to Memorial Hermann where Tracy met us in the ER.  Sayler was checked out and not admitted.  Since I was 34 weeks pregnant they did an ultrasound in the ER and then hooked me up to a fetal heartrate monitor and contraction monitor.  Tracy took Sayler to KDO around noon since she wasn't going to last much longer hanging out at the hospital.  My sweet friend Bethany picked her up later that afternoon and Sayler enjoyed some time playing with one of her best pals Luke.  I ended up staying overnight so they could monitor the baby and everything looked great so they sent me home the next day.

Twinkies

Sayler & Addison tend to wear matching outfits when we get together, even though Brooke & I don't plan it.  Yesterday Addison showed up in a chambray romper and Sayler already had hers on.  It's not the exact same outfit, but close enough for us to try to get a picture.  We made the mistake of waiting until after the girls had eaten lunch and were both ready for their naps, so we had to work with what they gave us.

Sprinkle!!!

Brooke, Bethany, me & Baby #2, Candice & Robin. (We are missing Sarah)

Bethany had a "vision" that it's a boy so she gave me a boy onesie and had the store wrap her gift as if was for a baby boy.  I guess we'll find out soon if she's right.

We passed my baby book around and everyone wrote what they think it will be.  2 said Boy & 2 said Girl!

My best friends from college that live in Houston "sprinkled" me with some baby necessities to get me ready for the arrival of Baby #2.  We had a fabulous brunch at Ouisie's and it was so fun to catch up with all of them.  I see some of them at least weekly, if not more, but some I only get to see at our monthly dinners.  These sweet friends gave me tons of diapers and lots of cute outfits and toys.  Obviously Baby #2 will be using Sayler's hand-me-downs, so it was so sweet of my friends to get some things that are just for this baby.  Sayler was so curious when I got home and wanted to investigate every bag.  She loved carrying the packs of diapers around the house.  Maybe she will come in handy with that skill in a few weeks...

Friday Playdate at Wonderwild

Sayler & Addison would not stop trying to get on the broken cars that were off-limits.

Brooke & I took turns pushing them around on the track.

Sayler & I met Brooke & Addison and Bethany & Luke at Wonderwild for a Friday playdate.  The kids had a lot of fun but didn't want to stay in the Toddler Play Area.  Instead they wanted to play in the Big Kid Area which was fine since there weren't any big kids there, but it meant that us moms had to help them get on the toys, ride down the slides with them, etc.  We were exhausted by the end of it.  At 8 months pregnant I should not have been climbing on all of those things, but I guess that was my workout for the day.
