Christmas 2010

The morning before we left for Dallas Sayler had her Christmas Program at KDO. She didn't cry but also didn't seem to know what was going on and just looked around the whole time.

Christmas Day in Dallas

We had a wonderful Christmas and were able to see both of our families and some out of town friends that we rarely get to see! Sayler had a great time, except for having a cold and cough for most of the time we were there. Sayler and Sam are both great travelers so that made the trip easier. We're looking forward to having another baby with us for Christmas next year!

Sayler - 15 Months

At Sayler's 15 month appointment she was 31 1/2 inches (80th percentile) and weighed 20 pounds, 12 ounces (25th percentile).  We did the allergy test again (which was miserable) and hopefully this time the lab will test for the right things and we'll soon know if she really has a milk allergy.  We're praying that she doesn't or that she'll grow out of it.  I can't wait for Dr. Filak to call with the results!

Birthday Lunch with Friends

We told Sayler and Addison to give kisses to each other and of course Sayler did her version of a kiss which is a big lick.

We were able to get all of the kids to cooperate for this picture!

For my 30th birthday my sister Lexie came in town and we met Brooke, Bethany, Addison, and Luke for pictures with Santa at the mall.  After lunch we were able to get a few pictures of the kiddos.  Brooke and I didn't plan for the girls to be in matching dresses but it made for such a cute picture!  We took the kids to sit on Santa's lap and Sayler screamed when I put her on Santa.  I had forgotten she is scared of beards.  Hopefully next year she'll enjoy it more.

Thanksgiving 2010

Sayler trying to get into the kitchen while we were cooking.

We used to block off the kitchen with pillows and this is what we found the last time my parents were in town.

The girls on Thanksgiving Day

We had a great Thanksgiving this year!  My parents and sister came in town and we enjoyed just relaxing for a few days.  Sayler was worn out when everyone left but she loved being the center of attention.

12 Weeks

All of our doctor's appointments have gone well so far.  The baby's heartbeat is strong and we were able to see the kidneys and stomach during the last ultrasound.  No weight gain yet (I guess that's one perk of morning sickness) but I'm definitely showing.

Our Little Tulip Pixie's Halloween

Sayler enjoyed wearing her Halloween costume and surprised us by keeping her headband and pixie shoes on most of the time.  The day before Halloween we went to Sydney and Casey's 1st birthday party and Sayler loved the pumpkin patch in their sideyard.

Baby #2!

First Ultrasound - 6 weeks

10 weeks

We found out right after Sayler's 1st birthday that in May 2011 she will be a big sister!  She doesn't understand anything that's going on yet but we know she'll love her baby brother or sister.  It's been harder than I thought taking care of Sayler and dealing with morning sickness and all of the other things that come with the first trimester but each week seems to get easier.  Tracy and I are enjoying the calm of only 1 baby because we know that things will get crazy in a few months.

Wednesday Play Date

We had a play date with Addison and Brooke last week.  Usually the girls just steal toys from each other but out of nowhere Addison leaned over and started hugging Sayler.  Brooke and I thought it was the cutest thing we've ever seen and were so happy the girls were being so sweet to each other!

Friday at the Park

Addison, Sayler & Luke

Addison, Luke & Sayler

Sayler and I joined Brooke, Addison, Bethany, and Luke for a day at the park yesterday.  The kiddos played with some toys on blankets while we ate and then we pushed them in the swings.  It was one of the first days of "cooler" weather and it was so nice to be outside.  Sayler loved to swing!

Sayler's 1st Birthday

Sept. 16th

Sayler's Birthday Party

Bath time with Addison & Luke

Sayler celebrated her first birthday last week!  We celebrated with our families before her birthday and then had a party with friends this weekend.  We can't believe it's already been a year since she was born.  It's been a wonderful year full of many firsts!  We can barely remember the sleepless nights that we thought would never end.  Sayler, we love you so much and look forward to how you will grow and change over the coming years!

At Sayler's 12 month appointment she was 30 inches (75th percentile) and weighed 20 pounds, 10 ounces (60th percentile).

July 4th

Blue Bell Factory

We had a great 4th of July Weekend!  We spent Saturday in Brenham with the Small's.  We were just supposed to meet them for lunch but ended up going to Blue Bell and then to a winery.  On Sunday we went to a get-together at Chat and Bethany's.  Sayler was asleep way before the fireworks started but she had a good time wearing red, white and blue all weekend.

Goodbye Emily & Brian

Our good friends Emily and Brian moved to Tacoma this past weekend.  Here are pictures from their baby shower the day before they left.  We were so sad to see them go!  We had known for over a year they would be moving but I secretly hoped it would never happen.  We watched almost every UT football game with them for the past 4 years and I just don't think the games will be the same without Emily's 7-layer dip.  We're already planning a trip to Washington this fall so we can meet Baby William.
