Girls Trip to Austin

Eating lunch at the outlets

Sayler & Tripp's sweet friends Daphne & Poppy celebrated their 1st birthday in Austin so Sayler and I made a "Girls Trip" to Austin for the day.  We stopped at the outlets in San Marcos on the way to do a little shopping and eat lunch.  Sayler had a blast at the party with singing, dancing & face painting.  She also got to see one of her favorite playmates Jonas.  I got to catch up with my DG friends, some who I hadn't seen in years!  I had fun spending time with just Sayler which I don't get to do very often.  But don't worry, Tripp didn't feel left out.  Tracy made it a Father-Son day for Tripp with a  drive to the deer lease and BBQ sandwiches on the way.

Residency Graduation Dinner

Tracy finished Residency back in February but since he graduated off-cycle he didn't have his graduation dinner until June.  It was fun to go back to Houston after being gone several months and celebrate.  My parents kept Sayler & Tripp in Kerrville and Tracy's parents came to the dinner.  I remember sitting at this dinner each June for several years waiting for the one day Tracy would be one of the graduates.  Residency has been a LONG road and I'm glad it's over but I know Tracy is so thankful for everything he learned and the friends he made.

North Carolina

Tracy was in a wedding in North Carolina a few weeks ago so we went for an extended weekend without the kids.  We had flown with the kids just a couple weeks before and it was so different to fly without them :)

It was so fun to see friends that we rarely see.  This group from college lives all over the country and it's so much fun when we're able to all get together.  The wedding was beautiful and we hope to make it back to North Carolina for another trip soon.

Shopping on a Friday Morning

Loving his Chick-Fil-A

I recently took the kids with me to run errands in San Antonio.  We LOVE the mall at La Cantera.  There's a playground there so I do a little shopping, take the kids to the playground, grab lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then drive the easy 40 minutes back to Kerrville.

Our Little Tadpole

Sayler with her instructor Meredith.

Sayler was so excited to take swimming lessons this summer.  We put her in private lessons because at her age a parent has to get in the water with their child and I don't know what I would do with Tripp.  She loved her instructor and had a great time swimming each evening.  Since our new house has a pool I really want the kids to be good swimmers!

Sayler's 1st Dance Class!

Entertaining herself while waiting for the class to start

Ever since I found out Sayler was a girl, I've been excited about all of the girly things I can do with her.  Taking her to dance lessons and attending recitals is something I've been looking forward to for 2 1/2 years.  I loved taking her to pick out a leotard and tap shoes over the weekend and today she went to her first tap class!  She seemed to really like it, except for when she pouted because it wasn't her turn (as evidenced in the last pic).
